Versace Launches January J
Versace has launched an eyewear capsule collection inspired by January Jones called "January J." It is said to be inspired by '50s and '60s movie stars and her character Betty Draper on Mad Men. And before we get to the press release sound bites, we'd just like to say "Are you paying attention, January?" Versace wasn't inspired by YOU, they were inspired by the character you play, whose clothes someone else picked out. Aw, don't pout, Jannie. What's that? You're not pouting? Oh, right. You have a perma-pout. Anyway, darling, we just wanted to point out that EVERYONE thinks you look your best when you wear classic styles that suit you. Please remember this going forward.
Okay, anyway:
January Jones: "Versace is an iconic brand that has always represented women in the most flattering way. Its appeal to me is that they make women look and feel sexy, classic, timeless."
Donatella Versace: "I am always on the lookout for the next Versace blonde and in January I feel I have found a perfect Versace woman for the 21st century. She is chic and elegant but deeply sensual too—it is a dramatic combination. January has been a good friend to the house of Versace and she looks wonderful in our Spring/Summer accessories campaign, so I thought it would be fun to name my new eyewear collection after her."
Seething with jealousy. We will not rest until we have an eyewear collection named after us. Donatella! We can be a "good friend" to Versace! Call us!
