Despite the involuntary gaygasps that escaped our mouths upon viewing these pics, we weren't quite sure what to think. At first glance, she's so...gold. Like, top to bottom, dying-in-James-Bond's bed gold. Certainly, our first impulse whenever someone appears in public wearing gold lame is to ... well, to shield them from any open flame, but our second impulse is to laugh.
But dammit, we think she looks kind of Hollywood chic here. In most instances in life, showing up in a gold lame trenchcoat and nothing else would qualify you for a one-way ticket to Crazytown, but on a Los Angeles red carpet at a movie premiere, why, it's perfectly respectable. Let's break this down:
We like the trench coat dress. It's a sexy idea and she's got the look for it. The dress seems to pull a little on the bottom and is awfully bunched up in the back, but for impact and chicness level, it can't be beat. Also, we love the shoes. Also, also, we love the jewelry. Everything's just so sparkly and movie star. The jury's out on the hair. We like it from the front, but we're not sure how much we love that braid. Still, we have to salute her for wearing a braid at all on the RC.
But really, any question of IN or OUT evaporated when we saw this:
After she was done with the press, she switched out her shoes for a pair of comfy flats.
Clever girl.
IN.
